Hi! I am a mathematics teacher in Neika.
The place of mathematics in my philosophy
First, I would like to present you my idea of maths since this is the foundation of my teaching theory. To me, maths is a fine craft, similar to painting or theatre. The artist uses tone, overtone and loudness, and establishes correlations amongst all of them to produce frame. The maths wizard makes use of definitions and ideas and establishes connections amongst them to create structure. The tools are different, yet the process is actually the exact same.
Before mentor, there is a process that I should undergo. I research the topic, inquiring myself until the structure comes to be crystal clear in my mind. Then, the teaching flows from the ideas gained.
This is far even more than just comprehending exactly how points work. Even if one has a POSTGRADUATE DEGREE in maths doesn't mean he/she has passed the process of trigonometry.
I enjoy the beauty and power of maths. I wish others to cherish its own appeal and power. That is actually the reason I instruct maths.
Theory
Training is actually a complicated activity. I should always remember that not every trainee comprehends likewise I do.
I must be aware of the various learning styles so as to have the ability to reach out to students whose learning styles are actually various from mine. I should likewise be sensitive to the difference of social backgrounds.
I have to be truthful and certainly not make believe to be other than who I am. If I do not understand something, I admit it.
I will be actually a good example in my manner, my actions, my mind, as well as my values; yet I will never seek to enforce my merit system upon the trainees. I will definitely respect their private value systems. Having said that, by showing my account system, I can aid all of them grow their own value systems.
The joy of learning
I will seek to cultivate a delight of study in my students. Here, I have the concept of the ways to do this by instance. The delight of study, not just concerning maths, but likewise about whatever subjects their abilities make them efficient in learning. I will aid the students become aware that some things could be difficult, that not every thing is fun, that they may need to struggle, that boredom could appear; but that the satisfaction of success and the joy of reaching an increased perspective make that all rewarding.
Final, however certainly not least, I must care about my trainees as well as appreciate them as human beings and as maths students. If I do not care, I must not be an educator.
